Welcome back, readers!
Valentina is still with us to answer the second batch of questions I prepared for her. In case you missed it, you can find the first part of the interview here. ☕
It’s a pleasure for me to have you as my guest once again, dear Valentina.
Let the games begin!
• If you are not doing it already, which language would you like to learn?
▷ I’d like to brush up my German and French; and after my trip to Amsterdam, I must say I’m kind of fascinated by Dutch.
• Favourite idiom
▷ “The devil is in the detail”.
• Favourite saying
▷ “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” or even better “Heav’n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn’d, Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn’d.”
• Have you got a motto?
▷ “Embrace your uniqueness.”
• Does your name have any special meaning?
▷ Valentina comes from Latin and means “healthy, strong”. My surname instead means “immortal”.
• Favourite genre of music? Name your favourite singer or band
▷ I prefer alternative rock, rock, punk rock sounds. But in fact I like whatever I like depending on my mood at the moment, or depending on anything at all really! I listen to Taylor Swift when I feel like, or Bjork, or The Four Seasons, or Queen, who cares! I have always had a soft spot for Avril Lavigne since I was 13. On my iPod you can find anything I like. Music is about emotions, not labels and genres.
• Best concert ever you participate in. Name the band/singer and the place.
▷ Mumford and Sons @ Atlantico – Rome; Tenacious D @ Forum Assago – Milan; Avril Lavigne @ Palalottomatica – Rome; Kaiser Chiefs @ Circolo degli Artisti – Rome.
• Can you share a song that is important for you?
▷ The Island – Paul Brady
• Favourite tv series – if you have one
▷ Only a gazillion! Just my top ten.
Still airing: Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Modern Family, Orphan Black, Grimm, The Bing Bang Theory, Downton Abbey, Orange is the New Black.
To binge-watch: Gilmore Girls, Charmed, Scrubs, Breaking Bad, Lost, Parenthood, Angel, Parks and Recreation, Fringe, Misfits.
• Are you a shipper?
▷ Nope.
• Favourite film – if you have one
▷ The Harry Potter and the X-Men saga.
• Favourite actor and actress
▷ David Tennant/Benedict Cumberbatch/Ian McKellen and Lauren Graham/Maggie Smith/Emma Watson.
• Celebrity crush
▷ David Tennant/Benedict Cumberbatch/Ian McKellen and Lauren Graham/Maggie Smith/Emma Watson.
• If you were a Disney character, which one would it be?
▷ Not a Disney aficionado. I can’t relate to any of them.
• Do you like musicals? If yes, which is your favourite one?
▷ I can’t say I am a fan.
• Have you got anyone inspiring you? If yes, who is your role model?
▷ My parents.
• Describe yourself in 3 words
▷ Perfectionist – demanding – quirky
• If you could leave right now, where would you like to travel?
▷ London ❤
• Write something about yourself you are truly proud of
▷ I spent many years of my childhood and my teens trying to fit in because that’s ‘what you’re supposed to do’. Then I realised I really did not need to be liked by many to be happy, but only truly loved by a few. I am who I am, and I love it!
• Give an advice to your younger self
▷ Make mistakes, feel and learn.
• Have you got any tattoos? If yes, has it/have they any meaning?
▷ I got six and they all have an important meaning to me.
• Where would you like to live?
▷ I would like to go back to my hometown, but I often daydream about living in Ireland or in England.
• If you were on a desert island, what would you bring with you? Name three things and say why you would picked them.
▷ A family album – to always have them with me; my guitar – a loyal companion; a survival guide for dummies.
Last two questions…
• If you could meet an important/famous person, who would he/she be?
▷ Oh so many! Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Poehler, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson… they’re all important to me!
• What would you ask him/her?
▷ “Would you be my best friend forever?”
Thank you so much, Valentina, for being the first mover of the series and taking the time to stop by. Now, we know a lot more about what you live and love. I am sure our readers can relate to many of your answers and think you are awesome! (And so do I!) My bet is that they had just as much fun as me spending a coffee break with you.
If you enjoyed the second part of the chat, share it on social media using the hashtag #guesswhonesec and leave a comment.
Want to take part in the series? Just drop me a line and I will invite you to join me for a coffee.
Who’s the next guest to be on the “Guess who comes” series?
Let’s find out next week.
